Louise is Reiki Master Teacher and Practitioner, a qualified Indian Head Massage Therapist and is a full member of the International Institute of Complementary Therapists.

Louise brings more than 20 years of experience in education and psychology and combines this with the gentle philosophy of complementary therapies to offer holistic well-being services to adults and children of all ages to live happier, healthier and more contented lives.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle, natural, and safe system which has a beneficial effect on all aspects of your being. A Reiki treatment supports you to release tension and to feel rested, refreshed, and nurtured. Receiving a Reiki treatment balances and harmonises your body, mind and spirit and enhances your natural healing ability.

Before your treatment we will discuss with you your past and current state of health and well-being which is in line with our holistic principles.

During the treatment you will be fully clothed and lying on a massage bed. If you are uncomfortable lying on your back, you can lie on your side or your front. 

The Reiki treatment is offered by the gentle placement of the practitioner’s hands on your head and body. You can choose to receive hands-off Reiki if that is more comfortable for you.

You can expect to experience a profound sense of relaxation both during and after the treatment. A greater sense of well-being is often experienced, together with the comfort of taking time out for yourself.

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage works on the many acupressure points on the head, face, neck and shoulders. These have connections to different systems and organs in the body, so an Indian Head Massage allows for the whole body to be treated. When receiving an Indian Head Massage, you will experience a sense of deep relaxation, whilst your whole body will be enlivened and energised.

Your Indian Head Massage appointment begins with a discussion about your well-being and from this, essential oils will be chosen specifically for your treatment. During your Indian Head Massage, you will be seated comfortably in a chair with a towel or blanket draped around your torso.

An Indian Head Massage starts with working on your shoulders and upper back. A combination of deep massage techniques and gentle pressure serves to relax and loosen your muscles, releasing stress and tension. This helps to alleviate headaches and improves the circulation of the cerebral spinal fluid.

Continuing with the upward movement, your scalp is then massaged using techniques that stimulate, relax and revive your entire head and scalp. This increases circulation and promotes healthy hair growth. Your Indian Head Massage also includes a gentle face massage to aid circulation, improve skin tone, and reduce sinus and headache problems. Allow an hour for your treatment.
